In Hebrews 8:1-6, the writer convinces his Jewish audience that Jesus Christ is the true eternal High Priest by dealing with two issues: Where did Jesus serve as a High Priest? and, What gifts & sacrifices did He bring as a High Priest? Since these Jewish believers were ignoring their faith in hopes of escaping persecution, he knew they needed revival in their hearts.
